Being first time parents, it was very difficult for us to select an ideal bath tub for our new born. We were in a dilemma and this is more so because just like any parents we wanted the best for our baby. I was more apprehensive about the safety features of the tub and hence was more focused on the design rather than the look. One of my friends suggested the tub from First Years Sure Comfort Newborn To Toddler model. When enquired about it we came to know that now this comes with a sling and that was exactly that we were looking for.
This is one of the very few baby tubs available in the market that can be used for the newborn as well as the toddler. This is designed in such a way that it can safely accommodate baby right from the infant to different stages of growth and hence there is no need to buy a different one as the baby grows. There is no way the tiny tot can overgrow the tub. This is definitely worth for $16 and this is a life time investment. I have been using it for more than 10 months regularly and I am sure that the same tub can be used for my next kid.
The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe as the name suggests is amazingly designed keeping in mind the factors needed for the baby to have a comfortable bath. For instance the padded backrest can be used in reclining position to support a newborn and it can also be adjusted for the kid to sit. The padding makes the baby feel good and is resistant to mildew. This can be washed in machine and dries easily. The baby does not slip away from the tub and remains inside the sling. This is a commendable feature as I can scrub and bath my baby in a relaxed manner with one hand and in spite of the sling I support my baby using the other hand. It can be used either in single or double sink.
There are also provisions to place bath accessories like baby soap, shampoo and his toys so that I don't have to run for them. This can hold even a bulky baby and there is more space for the infant to play with water while bathing without restricting his hand and leg movements. This comes with a temperature control plug that denotes the change in temperature and this is supposed to indicate the right condition for a warm bath. I have not used this feature and would not like to take a risk. So before introducing my baby I personally check the water temperature so that it is completely safe.
