Being first time parents, it was very difficult for us to select an ideal bath tub for our new born. We were in a dilemma and this is more so because just like any parents we wanted the best for our baby. I was more apprehensive about the safety features of the tub and hence was more focused on the design rather than the look. One of my friends suggested the tub from First Years Sure Comfort Newborn To Toddler model. When enquired about it we came to know that now this comes with a sling and that was exactly that we were looking for.

This is one of the very few baby tubs available in the market that can be used for the newborn as well as the toddler. This is designed in such a way that it can safely accommodate baby right from the infant to different stages of growth and hence there is no need to buy a different one as the baby grows. There is no way the tiny tot can overgrow the tub. This is definitely worth for $16 and this is a life time investment. I have been using it for more than 10 months regularly and I am sure that the same tub can be used for my next kid.

The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe as the name suggests is amazingly designed keeping in mind the factors needed for the baby to have a comfortable bath. For instance the padded backrest can be used in reclining position to support a newborn and it can also be adjusted for the kid to sit. The padding makes the baby feel good and is resistant to mildew. This can be washed in machine and dries easily. The baby does not slip away from the tub and remains inside the sling. This is a commendable feature as I can scrub and bath my baby in a relaxed manner with one hand and in spite of the sling I support my baby using the other hand. It can be used either in single or double sink.

There are also provisions to place bath accessories like baby soap, shampoo and his toys so that I don't have to run for them. This can hold even a bulky baby and there is more space for the infant to play with water while bathing without restricting his hand and leg movements. This comes with a temperature control plug that denotes the change in temperature and this is supposed to indicate the right condition for a warm bath. I have not used this feature and would not like to take a risk. So before introducing my baby I personally check the water temperature so that it is completely safe.

One big step all toddlers must take is the one from the crib, into a bed. Some babies do best when switching from a crib to a toddler bed, but other babies are fine going straight into a twin or full size bed. In this article I will outline some of the benefits of switching to a toddler bed, and some benefits of switching straight to a twin bed.

One benefit of switching to a toddler bed, is that it is the same size as the crib. Your child will still be able to sleep with the same bedding he is used to. He won't feel like his bed is entirely too big for him. His mattress will still be the same, and he will probably feel like a toddler bed is more familiar than a twin size bed would be.

Another benefit of a toddler bed is that they are generally lower than a twin size bed. They make it easier for a child to get into and out of. And if your child rolls off the bed, it's not so far, to fall. The bed rails that come on a toddler bed help prevent falls as well, but of course you can get those for a twin or full size bed as well.

A toddler bed won't seem like it takes up such a big portion of your child's bedroom, because it doesn't. If your child is sleeping in a small room, the toddler bed will allow him to still have more room to play during the daytime.

There are definitely good points about going straight for the twin or full size bed as well, though. One good point is that a twin or full size bed will last him longer. A toddler bed is designed for children from about 1.5-3 or 4 years old. You will eventually need to transition your child into a twin or full size bed anyway. Some parents feel that it is easier to just skip the toddler bed entirely.

Another nice thing about switching straight to a bigger bed, is that a twin or full size bed will look more like Mommy and Daddy's bed. This might make your child feel even more grown up. It will be easier to tell him about how big he is and how big boys sleep in big beds, etc, if he is going to be sleeping in a bed that is similar to the one that the grown ups in the house sleep in. He might be more willing to try it, too, because he knows that his parents enjoy sleeping in one.

One more thing that is nice about bigger beds, is that it might help your child more clearly define that he is a toddler now. If you make it into a big deal, and you go pick out new things for his new big boy room, including bedding, and maybe even new things for the walls, he will see it as a positive point. He may decide he doesn't want to sleep in his crib anymore anyway, once he knows that he has all these new big boy things for the big bed.

No matter which bed you choose to switch to, make sure your child is ready for the transition. Talk to him before setting up a different bed and make sure he understands why. The crib offers security, but as long as you are careful, your toddler should feel just as secure in whichever kind of bed you choose.

When a man in the UK was asked to be the best man at his friend’s wedding, he was touched. So touched, that he promised not to pull any pranks before or during the wedding. After the wedding though, that’s another story.

This man, who is choosing to stay anonymous, has set up this Twitter account for the sole purpose of automatically tweeting when the newlyweds are having sex. I’m not kidding. Read the entire tweet stream from the bottom up if you want the full story. But basically, this guy was watching his friend’s house while they went on their honeymoon and he placed a device under their mattress. This device, which is similar to the one found here, is a pressure-sensitive pad that tweets out when sexual activity starts, when it ends, the force of the “action,” and a “frenzy” rating.

December 9 saw the first such action. This is the first report:

They’re on the job! #1 – Action commenced at 12.21GMT. Weight: 84KG.

And then it was over — 3 minutes later:

They’re off the job! #1 – Action concluded at 12.24GMT. Duration: 3 m.15 s. Frenzy Index: 8 (scary). Judge’s Comment: “Is that it?”

But alas, that was just a test of the guy jumping on the bed to make sure it would work. It did. So the real first action is as follows:

They’re on the job! #2 – Action commenced at 15.50GMT. Weight: 151KG.

22 minutes later:

They’re off the job! #2 – Action concluded at 16.12GMT. Duration: 22 m.05 s. Frenzy Index: 4 (easy listening). Judge’s Comment: “Good work!”

Before everyone goes crazy over this, remember that all of this is being done anonymously. Neither the friend nor the couple are known. In fact, who knows if this is even real, and who cares, it’s hilarious. Still, the man claims he will let his friend in on the fun soon. “What you will NEVER know is who they are. Or who I am.I figure I’ll tell my mate in due course that he’s had an audience. So spread the word!,” writes the anonymous man. Consider it spread.

So why’s he doing this? “BTW – he stitched me up something rotten when he was my best man so I reckon this is reasonable payback :) ,” he tweets.

Oh Twitter, the joys never end. What will they think of next?

A gent who may be one day be known as the “worst best man of all time,” has connected his friend's bed to Twitter so it tweets every time he and his fiance have sex. According to the Twitter feed, called “Newly Weds On The Job,” the couple live in the UK, so not to worry, engaged Americans. As you can see below the tweets include details of how long the sex lasts and how “powerful” it is. (Via The Daily What)
